ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
My name is Lauren Arteaga and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been in practice for over 14 years and really, really love my job-I can't imagine doing anything else! I specialize in helping adults, caregivers, & other therapists work through past trauma and also have extensive experience helping folks manage anxiety, depression, and general life stressors.
EXPERIENCE
I started my clinical social work career as a therapist for a crisis response program. Following the tragedy in Newtown, I spent 2.5 years providing therapeutic support to the families, children, and staff at Sandy Hook School. From there, the New Haven Trauma Coalition was born and I spent the next nine years as a therapist and clinical manager of trauma-informed school programs across New Haven and Hamden. Years of extensive clinical experience and training has led me to private practice, where I feel honored to provide folks with trauma-informed care that comes from a place of compassion and understanding.
